Sudan Coup tear-gassed protesters

Sudan security forces fire tear gas at protesters who were partaking in pro-democracy demonstrations in the capital, Khartoum. They were demanding the military government to step back and let a peaceful transition to civilian rule.

Last month, the coup leader Gen Abdel Fattah al-Burhan dissolved the civilian arm of the government’s power-sharing agreement, arrested civilian leaders and declared a state of emergency. The civilian Prime Minister, Abdalla Hamdok is under house arrest and is facing pressure from the coup to co-operate with them reports BBC.
