President Sisi welcomes Arab Resolution Adopted by UNGA

Egypt's president Abdel Fattah al Sisi welcomed on Friday the United Nations General Assembly adopting an Arab Resolution calling for ending violence in Gaza. “I welcome the Arab decision followed with the aid of using the UN General Assembly nowadays to right away halt violence in Gaza, shared with the aid of using balance and peace-loving nations.” Sisi wrote on his account on Facebook. He added: “We stay up to prevent violence in Gaza and shield civilian lives.” Arab League Secretary-General Ahmed Aboul Gheit said the UN General Assembly's adoption of a resolution calling for a humanitarian ceasefire in Gaza with a majority of 120 votes reflected true internationalism. Abul Gheit said the vote was "by veto supremacy and prevented the adoption of a similar resolution by the UN Security Council", calling the UN General Assembly's decision in a statement from the federation shortly after Friday's vote. I welcomed it. The UN General Assembly adopted the Arab resolution after a total of 120 countries voted in favour of the decision, with only 14 countries voting against it and 45 other countries abstained. The countries that voted against the resolution were Israel, the United States, Austria, Fiji, Guatemala, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Nauru, Paraguay, the Marshall Islands, Hungary, Tonga, Papua New Guinea, and Micronesia.
