India records 8,813 fresh Covid cases, 29 deaths within last 24 hours

India on Tuesday recorded 8,813 new Covid-19 cases and 29 deaths within the last 24 hours.
The total number of active cases rose to 1,11,252 with a positivity rate of 4.15 per cent, according to data updated by the Union Health Ministry on Tuesday.
The death toll has climbed to 5,27,098 with 29 fatalities, the data updated at 8 am stated.
According to the ministry, 208.31 crore doses of Covid vaccines have been administered in the country so far under the nationwide vaccination drive.
