First Pill gets approval to treat Covid in the UK

  • November 5, 2021
Molnupiravir becomes the first pill to treat symptomatic Covid, it has been approved by the UK medicines regulator. Molnupiravir is developed by the US drug companies Merck, Sharp and Dohme (MSD) and Ridgeback Biotherapeutics. The UK has agreed to buy 480,000 courses with first deliveries expected this month.
